Decent service, some slowness

I opened an Aspire account mostly for the Expense Management and accounting software integration. The Xero integration worked fine, and tracking expenses is pretty straightforward. I did notice that some of the cross-border payments took a bit longer than advertised, like 3-4 business days instead of the 1-2 they sometimes mention. Not a huge deal, but something to plan for. The virtual cards were quick to set up though, which was helpful for online subscriptions. Overall, it's a solid service, but there's room to speed up those international transfers.

Easy setup, pretty good

I signed up for the Multi-Currency Business Account last month and it was way easier than I thought it would be. The whole process took about a week to get everything verified and running. Made a couple of local transfers, and they went through without a hitch. Definitely felt good to have one less headache.

Good value for a new business

As a new startup, every dollar counts, so I was really looking for the best deal. I got a $100 cash bonus when I opened my Aspire account and made my first spend, which was a nice little boost. The free Corporate Cards were a big plus too; no annual fees or anything. It felt like I got a good amount for what I signed up for, especially compared to some other options I checked out. Very practical for keeping costs down.

I saw some ads for a signup bonus for new businesses. Is that still a thing or did I miss out?

M Matt B. 1 week ago
They often have those, usually tied to spending a certain amount within the first few months. Check their site or ask someone with a referral code.

Yeah, I got a bonus when I signed up last year. Usually around $100-$200 if you activate and use the account for a bit. Definitely look for a referral code, both of you get something.

Can I give different spending limits to my employees on their virtual cards? Or is it just one limit for everyone?

E Eric S. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, that's one of the cool features. You can set individual limits for each virtual card you issue to your team.

Totally. It's super flexible. You can even set specific categories they can spend on, not just limits. Handy for controlling team expenses.

Need to integrate with Xero for my accounting. Does Aspire play nice with it or is it a hassle?

K Kyle Taylor 2 weeks ago
Super easy to integrate with Xero. It's one of their main selling points for accounting software.

No issues at all. It was straightforward to link them up, and transactions sync pretty well. Saves a ton of manual work.

Anyone know if Aspire's corporate cards have any annual fees? Or are they totally free?

A Abigail Scott 1 month ago
They're free to use. No annual fees for the cards themselves, which is nice.

Confirmed, no card fees. Just watch out for FX fees if you're spending in other currencies, like any card.

How does Aspire compare to something like Wise Business? Especially for international transfers and multi-currency stuff.

A Amanda R. 1 week ago
Wise is great for just transfers, but Aspire offers a lot more for actual business banking, like corporate cards and expense management. For an all-in-one, Aspire wins.

I use both. Wise for small personal transfers, Aspire for my business. Aspire's multi-currency accounts and cards are really handy for overseas suppliers, and their FX rates are pretty competitive, afaik.
